Team 34 Extra Verses
Below is the list for the first 7 weeks. Must be WORD PERFECT to receive credit!
January 6 - Psalm 62:6-8
"He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."
January 13 - Matthew 18:21-22
"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.'"
January 20 - Deuteronomy 31:22-23
"So Moses wrote down this song that day and taught it to the Israelites. The LORD gave this command to Joshua son of Nun: 'Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you.'"
January 27 - Joshua 1:6-9
"Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
February 3 - 1 Kings 4:29-31
"God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. He was wiser than any other man, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations."
February 10 - Psalm 136:1-4
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His love endures forever. To him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever."
February 17 - 1 John 4:9-12
"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
Puggles (2 Year-Olds)
To participate in Puggles, a child MUST:
- Be 2 years old by September 1
- Have a parent or guardian ON CAMPUS for the duration of AWANA on Wednesday nights
Puggles is an enriching program for pre-Cubbies kids that presents basic biblical concepts. It teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more. Parents can step in to reinforce the lessons with take-home cards that include ideas to point out God's work each day.
Cubbies (3- and 4-year-Olds)
To participate in Cubbies, a child MUST:
- Be 3-5 years old by September 1
- Have a parent or guardian ON CAMPUS for the duration of AWANA on Wednesday nights
The Cubbies curriculum features two handbook written in a fun, storybook style that appeals to preschoolers. Before starting a handbook, newcomers to Cubbies are taken through an introductory brochure that gives parents and children a brief overview of the program and presents God's plan of salvation at the preschooler's level. In addition, all memory verses are presented at a level appropriate for 3- and 4-year-olds.
Sparks (K-2nd)
The AWANA club for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
Team 34 (3rd-4th)
The basis of the Team 34 ministry is to help empower kids to live out Proverbs 3:4, "Earn a reputation for living well in God's eyes and the eyes of people." (Message) We accomplish this through weekly Scripture memorization, discipleship and accountability.
Trek (5th-6TH)
Trek is part of our new JJ56 5th and 6th grade ministry. It is a two year curriculum that answers preteen's biggest questions about God and the Bible. Trek takes the real questions from real kids and answers them from the Bible in a relevant, engaging way.
