A Message From Melissa Haney, Minister to Children

His Kids Church is a passion of mine, and I take very seriously the responsibility of spiritual leadership with children. I was raised in church and have memories as an early elementary age child sitting in church with my parents and coloring or drawing on the bulletin because I did not understand anything that the preacher was saying. Frankly, I saw church as a place where I had to sit, be still, and not talk. My mission is to make church the most fun place kids come each week.

We want to offer an exciting church environment on a kid's level. I think it is good to have services periodically where the entire family is worshipping together, but let's face it, big church is for big people.
 

Ministry Goals

1. Do whatever we can to help kids fall in love with Jesus and begin a lifelong relationship with Him.
2. Do whatever we can for kids to not just like church, but to LOVE it and hate to miss.
3. Prepare students for big church by teaching them manners for a church service and explaining ordinances they will see in big church so kids can understand them. (ex. offering and tithing, end of service invitation, Lord's Supper)
