Our heart beat is to glorify the name of Jesus by allowing the gospel and it’s purpose to be woven through every aspect of New Beginnings. In this pursuit, God has given us a very specific focus and purpose as a church which is articulated in our mission, vision, and strategy.
Our Mission: Make followers of Jesus Christ
Our Vision: To become an Authentic Biblical Community that transforms our city and impacts the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Strategy: Our plan of action organizationally is very simple. We will accomplish the mission and vision by Gathering in Worship, Growing through Community, and Going on Mission.
Gathering in Worship – We want to gather weekly in gospel centered worship for the purpose of exalting the name of Jesus with other who has experienced the grace of God in Christ through music and the teaching of scripture. Knowing that we are worshipers our desire is for our weekly gathering to be both fuel for and the overflow of a life of worship for each individual.
Growing through Community – We believe that spiritual growth happens best in the context of relationships with other believers. We desire to connect people to gospel centered communities called “Life Groups. These environments are aimed at living in community, growing in Christ, and advancing the gospel.
Going on Mission – We hope that every single follower of Christ will understand and engage in the purpose of their redemption and reconciliation. Scripture very clearly shows us that we have the privilege and joy of bringing glory to Christ by proclaiming Him to the ends of the earth. Our hope is to mobilize the people of God on the campus, in the city, and around the world in gospel centered service for the purpose of strengthening believers and advancing the gospel.
We teach the entire Bible, is inspired by God and are inerrant. Through the providence of God, the Word of God has been protected and preserved, and is the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice.
We teach that there is only one true exists in three co-equal persons - Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit - each being a distinct person and with a distinct function, but all of one essence and all possessing the same nature, perfection, and attributes.
We teach that Jesus Christ is God. The He born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, shed His blood on the cross as a vicarious substitute, was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in glory.
We teach that the Holy Spirit is God, co-equal and co-existent with the Father and the Son. He is the chief convictor of sin, the chief agent of regeneration and sanctification. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer.
We teach that the salvation of sinful mankind is a free gift of God’s grace, based solely upon Christ’s vicarious and atoning death, effected by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, and received only through faith in Jesus Christ.
