In the City Initiative

What is In the City Initiative?

The heart behind the New Beginnings In the City Initiative is to see our city transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Education, Poverty, Family Care, and First Responders are components of every community that have the potential to change the culture, positively or negatively. We believe that by partnering our Life Groups with local ministries and organizations in these four areas to engage the lost, the broken, the sick, and the hurting with the love of Christ, we will see our communities transformed. If you want to be a part of what God is doing through this initiative, contact our church office and let us help you get connected to a Life Group.

Categories

Education

Education critically impacts all areas of society. Through our In the City Initiative, we will transform our city by engaging local educational institutions with the power of the Gospel.

Poverty

Poverty affects thousands of people of all ages across East Texas. Through our In the City Initiative, we will bring the strength of the Gospel to the poor, the homeless, and the marginalized.

Family Care

God’s design for the family is under attack. Through our In the City Initiative, we will serve, equip, and protect families with the love of the Gospel.

First Responders

First Responders willingly put themselves in harm’s way every day in order to protect and serve our city. Through our In the City Initiative, we will serve First Responders and their families with the hope of the Gospel.
