Missions 

Our Involvement in Missions

New Beginnings supports several ministries and missions opportunities through the year:

• New Beginnings has supported Talsi Christian School in Talsi, Latvia for many years. Each summer this school hosts different camps, one of which is Orphan Camp. A missions team from New Beginnings has been able to travel to Latvia to help conduct Orphan's camp several times.

• We give to the Southern Baptist Convention in support of national and international missionaries.

• Living Alternatives in Tyler, TX, helps young women and families who find themselves with unplanned pregnancies. This ministry consists of a maternity home, adoption agency, and crisis pregnancy center.

• Hiway 80 Rescue Mission has been reaching out and touching lives for over 50 years, helping those in need.

• Longview Community Ministries serves as an organization to enable Longview congregations and groups to work together more effectively in the community through cooperative acts of service to assist persons in need, regardless of race, religion or creed.

• Hope for the Hungry is an interdenominational ministry dedicated to helping children worldwide and supporting missionaries who are living God's call to: "Share the Bread of Life with a Starving World."

• Grace Point Church in Tyler, TX

• Allen Buchanek, our Staff Evangelist, has made 10 trips to parts of Eastern Europe and will soon depart for his 11th trip. He also preaches in various places through the year.
